#20 You tube

Thank you Chelle for helping me finally add a video clip to my blog.
I've tried over and over to the happy strains of Chitty chitty bang bang but couldn't get the clip to accept a new home.

#16 Wikis

I understand how Wikis work now. It's a fantastic communication tool for both personal and business use. Applications I think would be worthwhile on a library homepage are:
1. 'My town/suburb' Patrons would be invited to add their memories of the town or suburb they live in. This would be an exciting way to create an oral history of an area. Patrons could also add photos. This would stimulate public comments/feedback and could even be the launching pad for a library or community event focusing on historical events or simply 'the way we were'. A great way for a community to come together and share/learn knowledge.
2. Book discussions. This could include patrons comments on books they've read. Another option would be to use it for an Internet based bookgroup.

#15 Web 2.0

The Web 2.0 technologies available are amazing and empowering. Their variety and use can only expand through the coming years. The next challenge is to educate our patrons, both young and old; computer savvy and not. Learning 2.0 (or version of) could become an introduction for them too into the wonders of these technologies.

Not fussed with delicious. I can't see me using it but at least I know what it is now and could set up an account if the need arose.

#7 Technology

Great technologies if only I had more time to play!
What I've done so far is simple and fun too. What a surprise!.

How hard was that

It took at least 3 hours but I finally have set up my Blog. The hitch for me was not getting the requisite Google email.
