#23 The end

It has been a fantastic journey of discovery. I have learnt so much and done things I never thought I could do. My friends and family are amazed when I tell them I have my own web page. I want to start all over and make a bigger and better site. Thanks Lynette and Leslie for all your hard work in making this program available to public library staff.

#22 Audiobooks

What a fantastic technology, especially for those who are vision impaired, housebound, geographically isolated or with limited mobility. The selection of books available is impressive and will surely grow. The more I think about it the more uses I can think of for this technology. Downloading whole audio books to an MP3 is so simple it will supercede other technologies including cassettes and CD talking books.

#21 Podcasts

Podcasts are a great idea. They really 'humanize' educational and other sites. The number of applications are limitless but I was especially interested in sequential podcasts which teach a language. It is so helpful having a voice pronouncing correctly and it would be fun to learn something new on a daily basis, eg numbers, a phrase, days of the week.
